A row counter for iPhone you can read from across the sofa
Prop your iPhone next to your yarn. Rowpip shows the row you're on as one big number, readable from about a metre away, and the whole card around it is the button.

How counting works on iPhone
After its first launch, Rowpip always opens on the counter, so you can count the moment it's on screen.
Tap anywhere on the card
The big card that holds the number is a single button. Hit it with a fingertip, a knuckle or the side of your thumb: every tap adds one row or round and answers with a small haptic tap.
Undo a slip
Below the card are −1, which takes a row off, and Undo, which takes back whatever you did last. Reset is tucked away in the menu, and even that can be undone: a toast offers Undo right after it.
Follow your pattern
Tell Rowpip about your repeat, say 6 rows worked 8 times, and the counter adds a line for what comes next: “Next: row 2 of 6 · repeat 3 of 8”. After the last one it says “All 8 repeats done”.
Add an Apple Watch
The iPhone app is complete without a watch. With Rowpip on an Apple Watch as well, you can also count from your wrist, with a double tap or the Digital Crown, while the iPhone shows the same number. Set a finish target on the iPhone, such as row 120, and the watch shows it as “84/120”.
Why knit with Rowpip on your iPhone
Start with one tap
The first time you open Rowpip, “Just start counting” takes you straight to the counter. Or answer three short questions about your project first; every one of them can be skipped, and changed later.
Your count is safe
Rowpip saves each change as it happens. Close the app, restart your iPhone, come back next week: the count, the project's name and your pattern repeat are where you left them.
It fits how you use your iPhone
Rowpip follows your text size and your light or dark appearance, and VoiceOver reads the counter aloud, as in “Row 12”.
iPhone questions
Which iPhones does Rowpip work on?
Any iPhone running iOS 18 or later. There's nothing else to arrange: no account, and no internet connection.
Can I count rows with the volume buttons on my iPhone?
No. Counting with the volume keys is part of the Android app only. On iPhone you tap the card, and to count without touching the phone you can add an Apple Watch.
Do I need an Apple Watch to use Rowpip?
No. The iPhone app is a complete counter without one. A watch is one more place to count from, and it shows the same row as the phone.
Can I count from the Lock Screen?
Not yet. A Live Activity and a Lock Screen widget with a +1 button are coming later. Until then, Rowpip keeps the screen awake while the counter is showing, so your row stays in view while you knit.
When can I get Rowpip for iPhone?
Soon. Rowpip is coming to the App Store for iPhone and Apple Watch.

Rowpip runs on two kinds of phone and two kinds of watch, and each has a page of its own.
